The Sunnyvale Farmers Market is looking for upbeat, positive individuals interested in volunteering at the market. Market shifts are every Saturday, 10am-3pm from June 9-October 13, 2018. You are welcome to come once, but we always appreciate repeat volunteers as many of our positions require day of training. If you are a large group interested in volunteering, you can sign up for multiple positions OR you can look at volunteer positions with Salt Lake County also happening on Saturday's at the park .

Sunnyvale Park is located at 4013 South 700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84123.

The following are volunteer positions we have available each week. You can signup here: http://signup.com/go/JOZQegw. If you have questions about volunteering or are interested in other volunteer opportunities with the IRC and New Roots, please email Kayla Norman at .

Sunnyvale Youth Meals

Interact with the market's youngest (and smiliest) visitors! Assist in the distribution of our free kid's lunches. Keep track of all lunches given.

Food Pantry Assistant

SFM now operates a food pantry that distributes primarily unprocessed food staples. As the Food Pantry Volunteer, you will assist in emergency food assistance distribution and help representatives of each household complete the sign-in form and understand the food pantry guidelines.

Benefits Distribution

As a benefit distributor, you will be interacting closely with customers who are eligible to receive EBT, SSI or WIC benefits as well as families with children enrolled in the National School Lunch Program and participants of FVrx. You will be surveying individuals to gather pertinent information (name, benefit #, language spoken, home zip code, etc.) Many of our benefit recipients don't speak English or speak it as a second language, so patience and understanding is a must for these volunteers. Ideally, individuals interested in volunteering for this position can commit to attending the market for multiple Saturday's as there is day of training involved.  Learn more about the benefits accepted at Sunnyvale Farmers Market <here>.

New Roots Farm Stand

A fast pace position at the market, our farm stand hands will be working with New Roots farmers and Sunnyvale staff to run produce from coolers to visitors at the New Roots farm stand. Some assistance on iPads may be necessary for our newer farmers still working on their technological skills.

Can't make it on Saturday's but still interested in volunteering? Stop by the office and pick up flyers to distribute to areas within our outreach plan.

In the age where content rules all, we are looking for local photographers interested in stopping by and capturing the magic of the Sunnyvale Farmers Market. All photos shared and used by the market will be credited back to the photographer.
